I need a break to soak in all this information. The ending battle came and we find out that the Commander is Lexi’s stepdad and Sutton’s brother. Nooow the person we’ve all been waiting for…Cole! I loved Cole because he was so nice and did a great job with protecting Lexi while her time in the Hole. I just felt he was a bit harsh toward Cole. He was so infuriating to read about but I also understood where he was coming from when he wanted to protect Lexi. It was so sad and I enjoyed so much of the book with her. Goddamn it Abi and Missy, why do you play with my emotions. She was so sweet, I dislike the fact that she was Branded at such a young age. Just talking about her makes me so sad again. He was so nice to Lexi and trained her while she wasn’t working in the hospital. He was so nice and like a father to Lexi during her time in the Hole. Not much to say about this man but I liked him so much. I need to calm down then we will write Cole last. The characters in this book…well other than Lexi. Attacks, getting Branded, the people there are so harsh, and its a horrible place to be but it is supposed to be “jail” for the Branded. Actually…I have never read anything with a dystopian world based of the 7 deadly sins. The idea of a world that has a clearance of the 7 deadly sins is something I haven’t read so much of. I really liked the dystopian world they lived in too. How she felt about Cole and her feelings, how during the final battle what her experiences were, and how she was adjusting to her time in the Hole. The characters were so great and I loved reading from Lexi’s perspective. Plus be hipster and get with this book before its super hyped! If you love dystopian reads with some romance this book is definitely for you. I read this book coming out of a contemporary romance streak and it was so great for a refreshment of dystopian. The events leading up to the climactic event ran so smoothly and there were no boring parts in this book. The plot was so clear through the whole entire book.
